This adorable little guy is Marley. He is a 2 year old Miniture Pinscher/Pug mix. Marley enjoys coming to work regulary with his loving mommy Stephanie. He is very sweet, loving, energetic & loves to talk to everyone. Marley enjoys car rides, the park & all kinds of toys. He's just such a cutie!

Meet Poppy Steward. Poppy has been our best friend since 2005. Poppy is almost 10 years old and has so much energy. Poppy is also very sweet and adorable. Poppy enjoys her playtimes that she gets regularly when she stays with us, as well as her yummy knuckle bone snack that her mommy buys her when she boards. After a nice fun filled stay with us Poppy loves to wrap up her stay with a relaxing bubble bath.

Meet Athena she is the loving pet of Manager Chrissy Carpanzano. Chrissy adopted Athean 6 months ago from the Last Resort Pet Rescue based out of New Jersey. Athena is so sweet, fun & totally energetic. Athena loves her four kitty siblings and loves every dog she meets. If she could play with anyone and everyone she would. Anyone who meets her just falls in love with her awesome personality and adorbale big ears.

Meet the very handsome Joey (aka JoJo) Loreth. Joey has been coming to Best Friends Pet Care in Harrison since June 2008. Joey loves to play with his best friend Assistant Manager Melissa! He loves to play in the snow with snowballs and also loves to sit on her lap. Whenever Joey comes to see us his loving parents sign him up for his favorite activity package, Dapper Doggy & always freshen him up with a day at the spa before he returns home.

Single Female Firefighter Saves Yorkie in Brooklyn!!

A house fire broke out in the Midwood area of Brooklyn last week.  All of the humans in the house were able to get out unscathed, but there was a little Yorkshire Terrier inside who couldn't escape.  Luckily female firefighter Daina Mielnik of Engine Co. 276 was there in time to help!  She successfully got the dog out of the house.  The dog required CPR and Oxygen.  Mielnik told the New York Post "I gave the dog oxygen. It's my first animal rescue. It made me feel great. I love animals. Everyone hates to see an animal in pain."  The Yorkie was brought to Noah's Ark Animal Clinic where he underwent treatment.  At the time they brought him in he was unconscious, but now he is responsive.  Let's keep our fingers crossed for a full recovery!!  Daina (26 years of age) was happy to save the little dog, but also took advantage of the media coverage to let everyone know that she is single!!  To read more about this story visit the Gothamist website.

Meet the Pet of the Week Labrador Retriever brothers Max & Nicky Zarrilli, who have been coming to Best Friends since 2004. Max & Nicky are very sweet, loving & energetic boys who love to board in our large Luxury Suites & enjoy their daily Dapper Doggy Package that includes playtime, cuddletime & a yummy ice cream treat. After a fun filled visit with us the boys love to end their stay with a nice bubble bath from one of our experienced bathers.

Meet the newest member of the Central Park Zoo. This adorable Mini-Nubian goat is the baby of Angel. He was born on January 20,2010 and weighs in at only ten pounds. Once full grown he can weigh up to sixty pounds. This cute little baby joins the already four exisitng goats at the Central Park Zoo.
